12 slices of bread, cubed (brioche, french, texas toast)
1 cup milk
1 8 oz container of cream cheese
12 eggs
1/3 c maple syrup
1 c blueberries
Spray a 9 by 13 pan with Pam and put one layer of bread cubes down (6 slices of bread). Cube cream cheese and lay that on top of the bread. Layer on the blueberries. Top with remaining bread. Beat eggs, milk and syrup together. Pour over layers. Cover with foil and let sit in the refrig overnight.
Heat oven to 350 and bake covered with foil for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 30 minutes. Serve warm with syrup.
Or..........
serve with homemade blueberry syrup!
1 c sugar
1 c water
2 T cornstarch
1 c blueberries
Mix water, sugar and cornstarch and cook over medium heat until thickened. Add blueberries and simmer 10 minutes or until blueberries have cooked down. Serve!
A little powdered sugar on top is great, too!
